Director (2010-)
As a community member born and raised at Six Nations, I have been active throughout my life in the activities of our community. A Six Nations history buff and traditional potter, I was employed by Canadian Gypsum Co. for 48 years until retiring in 2000. I have served two terms with the Six Nations Elected Council; was a Board Member for Woodland Cultural Centre (1972-82); a Board Member during the fundraising and construction of the Six Nations Arena (1969-72); and was an active member of the SNPL board for 34 years. I feel it is important to our community to help foster awareness and knowledge of our unique Iroquois history. In 2008, at the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the Library I was awarded Trustee Emeritus for my dedication to the Library and Library Board. Now I can continue my support of the Library as a member of the Friends of Six Nations Public Library Foundation. I think it is important to help the Library maintain its services to the community by helping to provide needed financial resources.
