How does it work?
The TD Summer Reading Club is for children – even those little ones who can’t read yet.
If you participate in the TD Summer Reading Club you can track the books you have read, collect stickers through reading books, write about books, and talk about books. You can also do activities online, at home or in-person (if safe). You can track books read or time spent reading. There are reading challenges and you can participate as much or as little as you wish; all reading is good and counts. You have the chance to win prizes for participating every week. This year there will be a GRAND PRIZE for the most books read. Are you up for the challenge?
The TD Summer Reading Club at 6NPL usually comes with an in-person weekly session. Children pick their books, talk about their books and do an activity. This year participants can still choose their books from the library, talk about what they have read with staff, and/or do a book challenge.
We will have an activity available every week for pick up. If pick up is an issue let us know and we will see if we can help.
If weather and COVID restrictions allow, participants may have the opportunity to do the activity with staff outside – – or if you prefer you can pick up the activity and do the activity at home. Make sure to leave us your contact information if you would like updates regarding in-person activities.
Borrow books with 6NPL (with no late fees.)
You can choose to do the program completely online with books from OVERDRIVE (accessed with your library card) or through the TD Summer Reading Club website. On the TD Reading Club website there are electronic books, videos and activities. If you want to enter the weekly participation draw you can submit through email any book challenges, books you have read or any activity you have completed online to show participation.

How Do I Sign Up My Child?
Starting July 5, register and pick up your Club notebook at the library. If you cannot make it to the library during business hours let us know and we can see if we make other arrangements. Show us your summer reading every week to enter the draws. Show us in person or email us at info@snpl.ca
If you want to ALSO participate online, you will receive a sticker with a code which you can use to access the TD Summer Reading Club online.
If you ONLY want to participate online, you can sign up completely online at the Club website. To enter the draws you can email us at info@snpl.ca.
If necessary, contact us to update your library information.
